REVIEW: 365 Days Later, Kiss Daniel Drops New Song – Sofa (HIT or Miss ?)

Reviewing a song like Sofa by kiss Daniel is difficult because it’s his only single in approximately a year now, so anticipation and expectations will most definitely be high but I’d stay as objective as I can..

You can easily rate kiss Daniel as maybe an A or B list artist in Nigeria at the moment, after songs like Woju and Laye.. And even most recently his presence in Kilamity by Sugarboy, for sure dude is talented, but Sofa didn’t really cut it for me..

The BEAT was acceptable but he needed to step up to make the song sound exceptional,  LYRICS was definitely good, not so much jargons like what you hear in usual Nigerian songs,  if he wrote this then double thumbs up for him.. DELIVERY as expected from any good artist is definitely above Par.. But in totality the song didn’t have have that replay factor, it just felt like he could have done better in some way.. Maybe with the context of the song.. But I’ll say if the song gets good publicity it might just blow up. I really hope it does though, no malice because I appreciate the work involved in making every note of a song, but when you set the bar very high it’s expected you try not to go below it…

I’d give it a 3.5 star

The beat was on point but the deliery of the song was lacking somehow. To me i felt it was a waste for such beat. I rate the song 5/10
