Wizkid set another record for Davido to break with over 8 million listeners on Spotify
In the tussle of who is the number one African artist which has saw setting and breaking of each others record by the Starboy a.k.a Wizkid and his DWM counterpart Davido moves to a new height.
The Ronaldo and Messi of Afrobeat claiming all Africa music Ballon D’ors. The competition which has become a force driving each of the artist to a new dimension and leaving other African artist in their awake. it is becoming more and more of a trend among their fans. The record ranging from show sellout, number of views on YouTube, downloads, international features, tours, number of followers to mention a few.
The competition is so fierce among their fans that when one does something usually Wizkid. the other is expected to surpass it in style which is mostly Davido.

Wizkid has become the first African artist to have over 8 million listening per month on Spotify. Now at 8 million plus, he has set another bar very high for his partner to meet. This means that every month since the beginning of the year over a million people listen to him on Spotify.
While his record breaking partner, Davido is close behind has his listen fluctuates each month as at this month he has over 3 plus million when wizkid has 8 plus million plus.
A very wide gap for the young Adeleke to make up. We know that the Davido crew and fans will be looking forward to breaking that too in the months to follow. Now the trend of Wizkid sets it, Davido breaks and surpass it continues.
