Under Mavin records, Reekado Banks became the first to bag the Headies Rookie of the Year award for the label within his first career year in 2014. He further went on to win the controversial Next Rated Award at The Headies 2015. Reekado Banks appeared on the number 10 spot on billboard World Album chart with his debut album “Spotlight” in 2016. He won Headies Awards consecutively in all editions after his first in 2014.
Tiwa Savage on the other hand departed Mavin records in 2019 to join Capital records and Island records subsidiaries of Universal records. Tiwa Savage has released two studio albums (Once Upon a Time, 2013 and R.E.D, 2015). She won several awards including the prestigious Headies Award for the best collabo category in 2018. She holds the record as the first female artiste to be nominated for BET Award for Best International Act: Africa.
After departing Mavin records, Reekado Banks has dropped three amazing singles (Yawa, Maria and Rora) with several collaborations and one music video (Rora Visualizer). ‘Rora’ amassed 1.4 million views within 2 weeks and 3 days. Tiwa Savage’s first single and music video after departed Mavin records has over 2.7 million views in 2 weeks and 4 days.
