Davido Defies Government Instructions To Perform At Ibadan Nightclubs – The Wrong Thing At A Wrong Time (A Must Read)
It is no longer news that Nigeria’s International Act ‘Davido’ was at the city of Ibadan over the weekend and performed at the biggest Nightclubs in the city despite warnings of the Government to avoid gatherings of more than 50+ people.
Firstly, he was seen hanging with the state governor in the late hours of Friday 20th March 2020. This visit raised so many eyebrows as there wasn’t any prior notice whatsoever. Next, he was seen moving into Deola Hotels A.K.A Number 1 in the early hours of sunday which attracted many of his fans and led to traffic congestions at Ring Road area of Ibadan.
Afterwards, he went on to perform at the Stone Cafe and also at club De Rock Both Big name clubs. By virtue of his appearance, fans trooped in numbers to see The Afro fusion King live. This poses huge health risks at a time we are taking precaution. No one is supposed to be above the law but with this it is obvious he is.
His performance didn’t just put his supporters at risk but himself as well. It seems he has been restless since his tour of America was canceled due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus in the region.
He just wants to perform just anywhere but the city Ibadan is not the best of destinations at this point or any other city in the Southwest. It seems the Isolation warning means nothing to him which isn’t the best at the moment.
