Omah Lay And Tems To Face 7years Imprisonment In Uganda If Found Guilty

Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems are facing a seven (7) years imprisonment if found guilty of negligent act likely to spread infection of disease.

The Nigerian musicians where arrested Uganda on Sunday and are currently facing a trial in Makindye High Court for flaunting COVID-19 laws in the country.


According to Section 171 of the Ugandan Penal Code, Omah Lay, Tems and co could face SEVEN (7) Years imprisonment for negligent act likely to spread infection of disease.

171. Negligent act likely to spread infection of disease.

Any person who unlawfully or negligently does any act which is and which he or she knows or has reason to believe to be likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life commits an offence and is liable to imprisonment for seven years.
