Rave And Roses: Rema Becomes The First Nigerian Artiste To Record The Fastest Number One Album
Rema has released his highly-anticipated debut album, Rave and Roses, today March 25th, and Rave and Roses is currently number one in 5 different countries, thereby making Rema the first Nigerian artiste to do so.
In 2019 Rema debuted with a self-titled EP, Rema. The hit song Dumebi from the four-track EP instantly made him famous among Nigerians whereas Iron Man, another song from the EP, got featured in former US president Obama’s Summer Playlist of 2019.
Following the success of “Rema,” Rema released 2 more EPs all within 2 years. And both of them were commercially successful.
Rave and Roses, his debut album, comprises 16 songs—including 3 pre-released songs: Calm down, Soundgasm, and FYN—and features from American and British artists Chris Brown, 6lack, AJ Tracey, and Yseult.
According to ChartsAfrica, Rave and Roses became number one in 5 countries on Apple Music just 2 hours after its release.
Rave and Roses is the fastest Nigerian album to reach this milestone, thereby making Rema the first Nigerian artiste to achieve this feat.
