Angélique Kidjo Forced To Disable Her Instagram Comments Section As Wizkid’s Fans Continue To Slander Her

Fans of Nigerian singer Wizkid continue to slander Angélique Kidjo after Wizkid lost Grammy award to her.

Following the failure of the Nigerian artiste to cling the award for Best Global Music Album, which he lost to Beninese artiste Angélique Kidjo’s Mother Nature, his fans used their social media platforms to slander 64-year-old Angélique Kidjo.

Although Wizkid himself has yet to make a remark since he lost the award, his fan base, contrarily, expressed their grievance towards Angélique Kidjo on her Instagram page, where she had celebrated her win.

As of the time of writing this article, the Beninese singer has disabled the comments section on her Instagram celebration post.

Despite this, some fans still visited her former posts to continue to slander her.

In other news, an American digital music writer said Wizkid deserved to win the awards he was nominated for. The writer said this on Twitter shortly after Wizkid lost both Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance awards to Angélique Kidjo and Arooj Aftab respectively.
