Tems Becomes The Only Nigerian Act In History To Debut No. 1 On Billboard Hot 100
American rapper Future’s new song ‘Wait For U’ featuring Canadian singer/rapper Drake and Nigerian singer Tems has debuted at number 1 on Billboard Hot 100.
‘Wait For U’ is the ninth song, and currently the most popular, on Future‘s new album titled ‘I Never Liked You’.
Tems, who had appeared twice on the Hot 100 last year with Drake and Wizkid, has scored her first number one on the most popular and highest American music chart, Billboard Hot 100.
Billboard on its official Twitter handle reported the new entry yesterday (May 9).
It is worth noting that Tems is the only Nigerian act in history to have attained this height.
In addition, she has tied with Wizkid as the only Nigerian/African acts with 3 appearances on the chart.
