Nigerian rapper Falz has announced a free, PVC-for-ticket concert in Lagos.

Falz announced the free concert Saturday (June 4) via a post put up on his verified Instagram page.

The concert, which he names ‘Youth Vote Count 2.0 Mega Concert’, will take place this Saturday (June 11) at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos State, Nigeria.

The lawyer-cum-rapper said on the post that the ticket to the concert was the Nigeria Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) or Temporary Voter’s Slip.

He also urged those without any to acquire it between the following week’s Monday and Saturday or come to the concert’s venue, TBS, on Saturday and register.

His full post read:

‘This Saturday, June 11. Come through with your PVC. If you haven’t registered yet, come and register at the venue on the day!!It’s a critical moment for us. Tell someone to tell someone please 🙏🏽✊🏾 Prime entertainment meets civic responsibility!’.

Falz, whose real name is Folarin Falana, is a prolific Nigerian rapper and lawyer. He is a son of popular Nigerian human rights lawyer and activist Femi Falana.

As a rapper, Falz, who likes to be called Falz The Bahd Guy, often uses his platform and status as a public figure to speak out on Nigerians’ challenges. His social-conscious song titled ‘This Is Nigeria’ demostrates the everyday challenges people of Nigeria face.
