Tems Credited As Songwriter For Beyonce’s Forthcoming Album ‘Renaissance’
Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, is credited as a songwriter for the song ‘Move’ from Beyonce’s forthcoming album.
Nigerian singer Tems is credited on Beyonce’s upcoming album that is titled ‘Renaissance’.
On July 21, the tracklist for popular American singer Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ album, which has been scheduled for release for the 29th of July, was released to the internet.
The 16-track album features Nigerians Tems and P2J, an established producer in London, whose Nigerian name is Richard Isong, as co-writers of one of its tracks titled ‘Move’, the track 10.
Tems began to gain international recognition, following her featuring, in 2020, on the track ‘Essence’ from Wizkid’s sixth studio album, ‘Made In Lagos’. The song’s remix, featuring Justin Bieber, and album would both receive two Grammy nominations in 2021 (both awards lost) and one BET nomination in 2022 (won).
P2J was the main producer of ‘Made In Lagos’, and he co-produced the BET winning ‘Essence’, with Legendary Beats, a Lagos-based music production duo.
