While the Headies has come and gone with many acts winning multiple awards, we can’t ignore the biggest losers of the night also.

WANDE COAL

Wande Coal who dropped his much anticipated album “WANTED” late 2015 after his long absence from the music scene. Fans and criticize expected so much from the album but with reviews and comments – it points to one fact , Wande Coal’s album didn’t meet most fans expectation.

Fast forward to the 2016 Headies last night , he was nominated for 4 different awards and he lost all;

1. BEST R&B/POP ALBUM – LOST
2. BEST R&B SINGLE – LOST
3. BEST VOCAL PERFORMANCE(MALE) – LOST
4. ALBUM OF THE YEAR – LOST

We hope 2017 bring something good for Black diamond.

SEYI SHAY

Seyi Shay released her debut studio album in November 2015 titled “Seyi or Shay.” which has given her many recognition worldwide and also listed her as one of the biggest nominations for the headies 2016 award.

Seyi Shay also gave an outstanding performance at the Headies last night but unfortunately she has not gone home with any awards despite been nominated in 5 different categories below;

1. BEST R&B/POP ALBUM – LOST
2. BEST VOCAL PERFORMANCE (FEMALE) – LOST
3. HIP HOP WORLD REVELATION – LOST
4. ALBUM OF THE YEAR – LOST
5. BEST MUSIC VIDEO : MARRY (SEYI SHAY) – MEJI ALABI – LOST

HUMBLESMITH

Honestly speaking, Humblesmith has worked very hard since last year till  date despite no debut album to his name. The Osinachi singer was nominated in 4 different category but lost all. He also so gave a good performance at the headies.
