Grafton Truedis And Music Plus Launch Talent Hunt Competition (5 Million Up For Grabs)
Grafton Truedis in conjunction with Music Plus has kicked off the ‘Kings Of Sounds,’ talent competition, a unique initiative to celebrate the ingenuity of African music producers around the world, while discovering, rewarding and empowering the next recording artiste out of Africa.
This maiden edition of the Kings Of Sounds talent competition will be chauffeured by the very gifted Sunday Ginikachukwu Nweke popularly known as Masterkraft.
Masterkraft has worked with numerous artistes including Phyno, Wizkid, Tuface Idibia, Banky W, Flavour, Lynxxx, Fally Ipupa, Bracket, Timaya, CDQ, Sound Sultan, M.I, J. Martins, Olamide, Solidstar, Jaywon and so on. He has also worked on various production projects including Kennis Music, EME, Glo Worldcup Campaign (with Flavour) and Coke Studio (Season 3).
According to the managing partner of Grafton Truedis, Mr. Fred Allison, the Kings Of Sounds beat competition is a concept with a little twist. In his words, “We are actually killing two birds with a stone; the idea is to celebrate the producers and at the same time, give rookies who may not be able to afford their services an opportunity to work with them and kick off their career.”
Talking about participation in this competition, Masterkraft asked interested artistes to login to the www.kingsofsounds.com to download the beat and record a song of their choice. “You can sing, or rap with the beat. Everybody is welcomed to participate, whether you’re a fuji artiste or a Gospel singer. It doesn’t matter what kind of music you make, just be creative and give it your best shot,” he emphasized.
