OMG! Iyanya and Ubi Franklin beef gets seriously messy as they both go on air to do battle

Earlier, we brought you the ensuing beef between the CEO of Made Men Music Group Ubi Franklin and former record label co-owner and artiste Iyanya (see here).

Their feud has gotten even messier as the two go on air to do battle of proof. They both had interviews on Cool FM radio in Lagos and tried to convince the audience from their point of view.

Iyanya first made his appearance with OAP Daddy Freeze and made serious allegations. He reiterated that his name was excluded from the documents of co-ownership and that he wasn’t given as much royalties as deserved, especially from newly signed music act at the time, Tekno. He also said he didn’t take a dime of his shares and left them all with Ubi.

Ubi Franklin on the other hand came with Document evidence in an interview with OAP and Hypeman, Dotun. He stated that Iyanya was mostly reluctant about the business aspect of the label and was initially excluded from ownership when the business was first established since the singer didn’t want to sign at first.

He also stated that Iyanya didn’t deserve a cut in royalties from Tekno since he (iyanya) didn’t contribute anything to the artiste’s career from the onset.

This beef can be said to be one of the most publicly revealing in the Nigerian Music industry since inception. The two parties have been quite relentless and generous with details.

We will keep you updated as more on this unfolds, meanwhile, leave a comment in the section below and don’t forget to share.
