Album Review: Runtown’s EP “Tradition” proves He is a ‘Soundgod’
Rutown‘s EP “Tradition” was originally scheduled for release by the end of this month May 31st 2019 but Runtown decided to give his fans a surprise by releasing it a week early.
The Tradition EP features 6 tracks – 5 new solid tracks and one previously released song Unleash featuring south-east London. Production credit goes to Del’B, Spellz, Elputo and Ransom Beat.
The song writing skills of Runtown on this EP can not be overemphasized – back in 2015 Runtown dropped the album Ghetto University and it changed his life for good. His new album is nothing shot of greatness – I dare you to skip a track on the album.
Runtown extended play features mid tempo songs, same as we all have come to love from Runtown, from the days of Ghetto University, to Mad Over You and For Life – Runtown maintained the same consistency but increased his lyrical strength, quality of delivery and production.
The self proclaimed “Soundgod” gave us prove why he should be called soundgod. I have spend the last 4 days listening to the EP and criticising it , and I can only but asked for part 2 of this project because of its sounds – from Del’B’s production to my favourite Spellz – the EP oozes of class and quality.
If you haven’t already, Stream / buy the album below and you won’t regret it.
I rate Tradition EP 4.5 /5
