A Vegetarian Buffalo – Wizkid “Ghetto Love” Review
Eleven (11) months after his last singles “Fever” and “Master Groove” in 2018, Starboy Wizkid returns with “Ghetto Love” a brand new single off his upcoming 4th studio album “Made in Lagos”.
Starboy Entertainment boss Wizkid who is signed to Sony Music’s RCA records is set to drop his 4th studio album in October, 2019. The singer teases his fans with ” Ghetto Love” to salvage their taste for a Wizkid record in preparation for the “Made in Lagos” album.
“Ghetto Love” on premier on digital stores received a massive blow on social media as the African pop star got blasted for recording a joint with ‘wack lyrics”. “Ghetto Love” was bad mouthed on twitter by lovers and haters of the Wizkid for performing a song with ‘no lyrics’.
The visuals of “Getto Love” reflects the struggles a talented young boy with so much ambition yet limited resource to push up to his icon’s (Wizkid) level.
The title “Ghetto Love”, could have be story yo portray the violence in the streets of Lagos, preaching unity, love and peace among those living in the ghetto. Many anticipated more from Wizkid.
While many where disappointed with Wizkid’s lyrics on “Ghetto Love”, a friend of mine rather expected such. Before ” Ghetto Love” official release on Friday 13th September 2019 he said, “There is nothing special coming on Friday, that i can promise you”.
In recent times, Wizkid has been heavily criticized for dropping lyrics with meaningless words like ‘Konto’ , ‘kolombi ko’, etc. He got blasted after his performance in ‘Master Groove‘ and ‘Fever‘ last for same reason.
But despite the ill written lyrics, “Ghetto love” has recorded massive successes across all digital stores in and out of Nigeria.
The track, which was produced by both Killertunes and Kel P , has an incredibly infectious beat and catchy vibe you’ll really love to dance to.
The single so far has definitely proven “Made in Lagos” will be a massive success. Aside from being the number one song and Video on Nigeria ITunes and YouTube charts, Wizkid “Ghetto Love” has bagged several numbers in the US, India and other nations.
“Ghetto Love” is the First Afrobeat Song to makes it to NUMBER1 on US HIP/HOP video iTunes chart. It made WizKid the first Nigerian artist to have his song on TOP 50 US HIP/HOP ITUNE CHART.
Wizkid “Ghetto Love” is more like a vegetarian Buffalo.
Its more like a classical sound (buffalo meat) in the midst of of vegetarians (people who don’t value it).
It’s detested yet not defeated.
It’s bad mouthed yet winning.

Wizkid is overrated, but I can understand because he has sold his soul to the devil…

It seems to be winning because of the delay in releasing a song this year
Trust me the impact will be felt in the nearest future if nothing is done about it
