See How Davido Made Money Off His Haters – A “Risky” Review

Following his hit single “Blow my Mind” with Chris Brown, Davido dishes out “Risky” featuring Popcaan. The DMW boss who is getting ready for his sophomore album drops “Risky” off his forthcoming album “A Good Time”.

On the 6th of March 2019, Davido dropped a freestyle on US radio. The Nigerian popstar, Davido was on everybody’s lips and it wasn’t for a good reason.

The sensational music star who has several hits to his credit was widely slammed by many fans after a video of him freestyling during his on-going media run in the U.S.

The negative comments was disheartening. I personally the singers spirit was wounded. He could have been depressed at some point. Take a look at some reactions from the freestyle…

But just like we expected, the “We rise by lifting others” preacher kept mute. He took the criticisms, picked up himself from the ground and went into the studio to do his magic. While we were all dancing to “Blow my Mind” featuring Chris Brown and waiting for the “A Good Time” album, Davido cooked up “Risky” with featuring.

The Nigerian popstar turned the rejected stone to the pillar. He made a classic tune out of the freestyle everyone rejected. In his words, he said, “What you all laughed at !! You will dance to !!#RISKY”. As promised, he ensured “Risky” was groovy, touching, story telling and had that evergreen touch. This is definitely going to be one of his best songs off his sophomore album. The Jamaican singer “Popcaan” ensured the  beauty behind the speroach produced beat was felt.

As expected, the reviews changed. The reaction changed from bad to good. He made business off his haters and ended up teaching us a few lessons. One being that we should never give up irrespective of what people think about us.

To Davido, music is business yet spiritual.
