Africa stood still on November 22nd, 2019 for David Adeleke. The afro pop singer popularly known as Davido took over all streaming platforms, social media trends and music playlists with the release of his sophomore LP album tagged “A Good Time”.
The Sony Music act and DMW boss, Davido finally dished out his highly anticipated album a day after his 27th birthday. ” A Good Time” album is a 17-track album with guest appearances from Chris Brown, Popcaan, Dremo, A Boogie With Tha Hoodie, Naira Marley, Zlatan, Yonda, Summer Walker, etc.
Since the release of this body of work, I’ve been on social media hunting for negative reviews or comments against the album but have failed to see one. No criticisms, no rejections, all praise. This is suspicious. It seems everyone is enthralled by the magnificence of the album.
With twelve new contents and 5 already released singles, Davido is set to dominate all streaming platforms; iTunes charts in Nigeria, Uganda, Gambia, Dominica, Mozambique and Namibia. Davido’s “A Good Time” album debuted at Number 17th on USA iTunes album chart.
OBO has not only released the hottest album in the country, he has strongly challenged Burna Boy’s throne as the African Giant. The album has in less than 24 hours recorded unimaginable success.
A few of the most celebrated songs in the album includes “One Thing”, “Disturbance” Feat Peruzzi, “1 Milli”, ” “Intro (Vanity)”, “Get To You” including “Fall”, “If”, “Risky” Feat Popcaan, “Blow My Mind” etc.
In summary, Davido has just served us one of the best african albums of all time.
