Barry Jhay makes a solid statement with “Barry Back” EP featuring Davido – REVIEW
Award winning singer and song writer, Barry Jhay gives the industry a hard knock with his debut EP “Barry Back” featuring DMW boss, Davido.
It is highly anticipated and is a collection of different sounds with good melodies and meaningful lyrics.
Barry Jhay is one of the artists that has no bad song. He has built for himself an unsullied reputation as a Nigerian act who is only capable of churning out good music. Barry Back EP is a pure class.
The 9-track extended play is a complete body of work infused with great and amazing sounds expressing the diversity of Barry Jhay.
Barry Back EP samples Barry’s unusual and candy-coated vocals.The Cash Nation Entertainment front-line act features Davido in ‘Only You‘ off the album and even wrote the entire lyrics in the Fresh VDM produced song. Other producers featured on the album include, Ice Beat, Tee-Y Mix, Bizzouch, Saszy and Tefa.
The fifth track ‘Pa Mi‘ sampled ‘I like it, I really really like it’ off “Forever” a song originally performed by Psquare in 2011.
Aside the song with Davido, Barry Jhay wrote and performed all other songs in the 9-track EP. ‘Barry Back’ EP is nothing but a masterpiece making Barry’s lyrical prowess obvious to all.
