As a fan of two of his hits “Flex” and “Legacy‘, it was the most memorable for me.

Flex” still remains one of the most sampled and remixed song of all times as the likes of R.kelly, Rihanna, 2BABA have all sampled the song. Just early this year Justin Bieber sampled it on “Baby come around me” of his “Changes” Album in January.

American singer “John Legend” made the most Secretive visit to Nigeria earlier in the year as there was very little media hype surrounding his visit. He was invited to the annual Thisday Awards 25 years anniversary. Fans only heard of his visit when his wife Chrissy Tegen tweeted about it.

ThisDay Award show is known for Class, Glits and Glamour and they didn’t fail once again this year. They mostly invite Rnb/ Soul artiste, Since the award show is for Matured minds and the crème de la crème of society.

However, there was an outcry among music fans across the country as they claimed they didn’t have enough quality time with the Multiple Grammy Award Winning star.

6. J.Cole

Arguably one of the beat rappers in the world today. Just fresh off his K.O.D album release in 2018, the next destination for the rapper was Nigeria. He headlined the Castle Locks Concert alongside Wizkid and Davido.

J-Cole came and same Nigerians who claimed they don’t listen to rap music were the one’s singing every line of his K.O.D album released just few days earlier word for word.

It was memorable as He even performed on the night with the Nigerian Jersey as the country were in the World cup mood and the massive hype surrounding our jersey sales, Nigerians can’t forget the experience.

7. Mase

The rapper who had commercial success in the late 90’s and 2000’s made his way to the Africa’s Entertainment capital. Not the most anticipated but pleasing. Formerly signed to P.diddy’s “Bad Boy” Label alongside the likes of Biggy and Mack Maine.

He was truly a big name during his time and the concert was a Success, he even wore an Agbada on stage to show Nigeria’s cultural heritage.

She was a subject of trolls on social media when An incident showed when she twerked for Davido and he refused to rock her- lol. It was interesting to see her on stage though.

9. Koffee

The young reggae sensation burst into the music scene in 2017 and had the hit “Toast”. At just the age of 20 she won the Grammy award for best reggae Album with “Rapture”. She was one of those brought into the massive Flytime Rhythm Unplug event Anniversary in 2019. Quite a delight to have her on stage in Nigeria.

10. Boyz II Men

The best RnB band in the 90’s took us down memory lane once again with soulful performance of songs like “unbended knee” and End of the Road”. It Was fun bringing back those nostalgic moments. They were part of the singers brought to the country for the Rhythm/Flytime anniversary concert that also had the likes of Koffee, Megan thee stallion, Mase, Burna boy and Tiwa Savage in a 5 days entertainment showpiece.

It’s quite obvious, with the successes of all the shows, more acts will be trooping into the country for more shows, Concerts and award ceremonies after the pandemic totally elapses.
