Did Wizkid Just Gifted Yung L His First Major Hit Song In Eve Bounce Remix?

It appears Yung L’s “Eve Bounce” remix might be his first major hit in recent times as the Wizkid effect seems to be materialising with massive downloads and trends on social media  Just after few hours of it’s release.

The song was earlier released earlier this year under his latest album “Juice And Zimm” but didn’t make much trends until Starboy general Wizkid who is known to have a huge fanbase and following featured on the remix of the song.

The song is a quality vibe as it Combines Afrobeats and Reggae elements in it’s production. The song also samples elements of American Female Rapper Eve‘s 2001 hit “Let me blow your mind” ft. Gwen Steffani – maybe that’s where the name “Eve bounce” came from. We really can’t tell.

Yung L has been in the music wilderness for over a decade but he still hasn’t gotten much of a recognition as the likes of Patoranking who he started the Afro-Raggae fusion/Dancehall style before has gained global recognition. He was largely affiliated to Ice Prince and Chopstix and at some he signed to Chocolate City but all of that didn’t do much to bolster his popularity.

He has near hit singles such as S.O.S (2013) which is arguably his best song till date, Gbewa (2017) and Tropicana baby (2019) all enjoyed some form of commercial popularity.

He also had over 3 studio albums to his name including “Juice And Zimm” release early in this year 2020 and as many singles but “ Eve Bounce” seems like the most talked about.

The song may certainly not be his best song overall, but might be on it’s way to enjoy big commercial success due to the presence of Wizkid on it.

Do you agree me ?
