Psquare, 2Baba And D’banj Never Helped Any Artistes – Twitter User

A twitter user claims that Psquare, 2baba and D’banj never helped most upcoming artistes during their hey days.

These were the Major names of the industry in the early 2000’s and the past decade. And interestingly they have been influential during all those years of dominance but they can’t really boast of having enough talents under their wings like the likes of Davido, Olamide and Don Jazzy.

Let’s start with Psquare, They were both frontliners in the label “Square Records” managed by their big bro who had control of mostly of the production, deals and other entitlements which sort of didn’t really allow much of their opinions and output.

Like the case of May-D and Cynthia Morgan, you could see they weren’t in control of any of the cases. You can’t blame them but you can judge them based on their individual labels presently which they haven’t been able to scout or bring up any notable name to date. There lack of help for younger artistes is largely attributed to greed.

2Baba on the other hand started off his career with Kennis Music. Afterwards he went on to start his own label “Hypertek” music. He signed Dammy Krane to the Label it really didn’t work Not because he didn’t want to help but because he isn’t gifted in management of younger artiste.

D’banj had a torrid time settling after his break up from Mohits with scouting of young talents but had a few that got into the industry courtesy of his MTN C.R.E.A.M platform. The likes of Mr Real got fame through D’banj. He equally signed singer and producer Cheekychizzy to DB records.

The major issue is that whenever he decides to help a younger artiste, they don’t seem to have enough talents in their arsenal to last longer so his efforts becomes futile.
The “Koko master” is still helping young talents to get fame through his MTN C.R.E.A.M platform that has over 3.5 million subscribers.

Saying they didn’t make an attempt at all is a façade. Although, D’banj is the only of the 3 with more track record of putting enough effort to helping artistes. The rest may have tried but it wasn’t just enough.
