It’s 2020 and the streets of Lagos has just produced another amazing talent. Stanley Omah Didia professionally known as Omah Lay is taking up the stage as the new King of Afrobeat.

Omah Lay an afrobeat superstar, who renders cool vibes with amazing vocals introduces a new sound to create a niche for himself in the ever competitive market in Nigerian music industry. Omah Lay was born to Stanley Omah Didia, a family with deep music roots in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Omah Lay’s grandfather was a percussionist for the legendary Highlife singer Celestine Ukwu until his death in 1976.

The Port Harcourt born sensational artiste, Omah Lay now based in Lagos has made a solid statement (to say the least) with his debut project ‘Get Layd’. The new kid came out of the dark surpassing everyone in the country to lead Rema, Fireboy DML and other emerging talents in popular streaming platforms. His single ‘Bad Influence’ currently sits at the number one spot in Apple Music Nigeria TOP 100, displacing Simi’s ‘Duduke’ as the most played music in Nigeria.

His 5-track EP ‘Get Layd’ is the hottest project in the industry at the moment. He has the five songs off the EP sitting comfortably in Apple Music Nigeria TOP 100 ; Bad Influence (1), You (2), Damn (3), Lo Lo (6) and Ye Ye Ye (9). There is no other way to explain this. Omah Lay has bagged over 5 million streams on audiomack with ‘Get Layd EP’. Following the massive reception of his sound? Omah Lay dropped a collaborative single with DJ Spinall tagged ‘Tonight’. The vibe is another spectacular sound from the new wave artist.

One distinguishing factor between Omah Lay and Rema and Fireboy DML is his vocals. The magician nature of his flows and goose bumps embedded in his vibe could only be explained when you catch one while listening to his sounds.

There are Nigerian artistes who have come out times without number to say that they do not smoke weed. While this might be surprising, it seems to be the truth.

9ice has said it times without number that he does not smoke weed. In his songs and interviews, he has always maintained that he doesn’t smoke weed for inspiration.

While this could be very strange to so many people, it would be surprising to you that Slimcase does not smoke weed neither does he do drugs. He has said this times without number.

Dr Dolor, the owner of Teniola Apata record label said the singer does not smoke weed. And overtime, Teniola has never for once promote weed in her music videos.
