Private Schools in Lagos Fix Date For Resumption Ahead of WAEC 2020
The Lagos chapter of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has announced the resumption of school in the state.
Despite the daily increase in number of cases of COVID-19 in the country, the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools has announced a compulsory resumption for all private schools across the state.
The resumption, slated for August 3rd, is said to only affect Senior Secondary School Students (SS1 – SS3). This is for the preparation of the 2020 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate.
The NAPPS president, Amusa Olawale, revealed that there was a plan to make sure that the West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) holds in September.
Olawale noted that necessary protocols have been followed and the state Ministry of Education had permitted to resume as long as all safety protocols are met as regarding the prevention of COVID-19.
