Top Nigerian (Naija) songs in ‘July – As we kickstart with month of August, let’s look back at the “Top 10 Hot Nigerian Songs Released In The Month Of July 2020. Excitingly, Rema, Fireboy DML, Davido, Mayorkun, Tiwa Savage, Patoranking and others made the list for the month of July 2020.

July was a good month, we have some new entries from relatively unfamire artistes topping our chart for this month, Olakira , Zinoleesky and Kris Zaga all made surprise entries into this list with their respect songs. They are absolutely deserve it after you listen to their songs

10. May D ft Davido – Lowo Lowo

May D recently affiliated with DMW and his first collaboration came through featuring boss Davido on the remix to “Lowo Lowo”. The new banger Lowo Lowo was produced by Dante and it’s is a follow up to his “May Day” EP which featured 6 tracks, including features from 9ice, Wande Coal and Stanley Enow.

9. Reminisce – Ogaranya ft. Fireboy DML

Reminisce and Fireboy DML‘s collaboration is one you would not ordinarily predict to happen, but these two linked up and made a lovely afro rap song tagged “Ogaranya” off Reminisce new EP “Vibes And Insha Allah”.

Vibes And Insha Allah by Reminisce is a 6 tracked EP released 29th of July 2020 and notable features are Tiwa Savage, Fireboy.

8. Rema – Woman

Woman by Rema is a potential club banger but unfortunately the clubs are closed so we can’t put it to a test.The youngstar hooked up with producer Ozedikus and Altims for this afrobeat and electrofusion sound, you will love it.

7. Kris Zaga – “Power & Grace”

US based Nigerian Afro-Pop singer Kris Zaga has set himself aside from other afro-pop artists with his unique sound. The Port Harcourt born licensed Medical Practitioner released the powerful song Power & Grace in collaboration with XB, a song that sticks on first listen.

6. Tiwa Savage – Dangerous Love

Dangerous Love was Tiwa Savage’s official single in 2020. It’s a mid-tempo song and the lead single for her forthcoming album Celia dropping anytime this year.

5. Zinoleesky – Mapariwo

I was hooked on this tune the first day it dropped and till now my position hasn’t changed about the song, no wonder Zinoleesky’s Mapariwo is currently doing 5M streams on audiomack.

Zinoleesky really went in on this one just like he did in his previous single Caro featuring label boss Naira Marley

4. Cheque – Loco

Cheque is the new kid in the block. “Loco” is off his mixtape ‘Razor EP’ a solo performed extended play released july.

He is signed to Penthauze. I listened to his EP and I can proudly say, If Phyno puts in money into this young talent, he will be the next big thing.

3. Olakira – In My Maserati

Inspired by his love for the luxury vehicle brand, Olakira promises his sweetheart a tastefully different kind of love and of course, a ride “In His maserati”. – Great song from Olakira with melodious vocals

2. Patoranking – Abule

Good to see Patoranking back to making the kind of music that made him famous. The dancehall singer dropped Abdule Abule’ – the lead single to Patoranking’s ‘THREE’ album dropping sometime this month August 2020.

1. Mayorkun x Davido – Betty Butter

DMW acts Mayorkun and Davido teamed up for the release of a catchy record.  Whenever these two hooks up for a collaboration, it comes out very sort after. “Betty Butter’ is a mid-tempo Afro-fusion track with lots of word-plays and infectious beat. crowned with a beautiful and video visual directed by Clarence Peter.
