Tiwa Savage Unveils “Celia” Album Cover + Tracklist, Says Album Is Inspired By Her Mum
Universal Music Group goddess, Tiwa Savage shares the cover art and tracklist of her incoming “Celia” album.
“Celia” album features Sam Smith, Hamzaa, Stefflon Don, Dice Ailes, Davido and Naira Marley. The 12-track body of work is inspired by Tiwa Savage’s mother as revealed by the singer.
In her words,
“I remember playing the ludo game when I was younger; To win this game, you have to move and that translates into life itself.. We all have to take bold steps to become successful.
” The cover art for my new album ‘Celia’ was inspired & named after my mum.. The one person who was instrumental & encouraged me to make that move towards chasing my dreams.
This album is dedicated to the strongest woman I know (my mum – Celia) and also to all strong African women out there holding it down for themselves especially in male dominated fields. I see you all.
“This album is afrobeats from a very female perspective, It’s an extension of the African woman: She still values her culture and her upbringing but she’s also well travelled, so it’s blending those two worlds.
