Burna Boy Is A Coward Disguised As Brave [Read Why]

Burna Boy has always claimed to be an embodiment of Fela Anikulapo Ransom Kuti. creating sounds and lyrics similar to the late AfroBeat king’s, which circles around social injustice, neo-colonialism, struggle and oppression of the poor by the ruling class. so when it comes to the talk and tune, he is very vibrant and he deliver his lines so well that it is capable of provoking an uprising and inspire the masses to revolute.

In appearance, Burna Boy is the next Fela, one will say when he listen to his tune. But in reality he’s just another artist exploiting the masses to buy his song using the image and his grand father’s association with Baba seventy as Fela is fondly called, as the bait.

Fela is a unrepentant activist even in the phase of authoritarianism and dictatorship. he walked the part of doom as some will say, always at logger heads with government fighting with both his music, image and at the fore front of protest. juxtaposing this with what or who Burna Boy is, is like comparing a lion to a cat. But some how, Burna has illusioned his fans to believing he is another Fela instead of a coward whose sole interest is making money and toping charts. And the only protest he will part-take in, is the one that involves the keypad of his mobile and put money in his pocket or enhance his image.

so many instances he has made prophane statement to dance to the gallery and backtrack at the slightest opportunity even after receiving accolades for such statement. Many has attributed this, to having an habit of talking too much and having an opinion about everything. The xenophobic case in South Africa against Nigerian in that country is an example claiming he will never perform nor step into the country again and even making threats to A.K.A  which resulted in accolades from Nigerians but we all know what happens after in just a matter of weeks.

He uses his tunes to preach to Nigerians to rise and fight, calling the youth cowards but he himself is hiding in United kingdom. Trying to push his fans to the lake of fire
to move out and protest while he clap them on through his social media handle like he did during the Rema rants ,claiming I support you brother.

He jumps to the fore front on social media to make comments about issue arising, but when it comes to taking a stand, he chicken out. This antics has been working and pushing his career until now when Sowore reached out to him to now walk his talks with no surprise, he replied ” you politicians are all the same, I trust none “. He is nothing more that what American call “a Bushiter”

In submission, Burna is nothing more than an illusionist who has now become disillusioned by his own crafts. He beliefs he is a brave Nigeria youth rising against injustice when the only time he comes to Nigeria is when he has a concert or promoting his album and has done nothing for the good of the nation but milking it and taking the richest to spend and in invest in United Kingdoms economy. Just in case he is not aware he is part of the problem of this nation.
