Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Davido, finally changes his Instagram handle to his real name after 10 years of using another.
The singer, today, announced that for about 10 years, he has been begging some Brazilian guy who has been using the name to give it up for him.
Davido’s Instagram handle has been @davidoofficial for about a decade now. He started using this as he was restricted from using his real name, @davido, because an Instagram user had registered with the name before he joined Instagram.
Today, Instagram finally changed his handle for him to his stage name and the singer could not hide his joy. He took to social media and posted; “Finally!!!!! NEW IG NAME: DAVIDO … lol I literally begged some Brazilian guy for like 10 years on ig to free this name for me !! Thank you”
