Since the Headies release their call for nomination for their award for 2020, The battle for the Next Rated Artist has intensify on Twitter between Icons (Laycon fans) and Omay Lay with the Elite joining them in the call for Omay Lay to be more deserving.
While icons are pushing the agenda that Laycon deserve the award as his EP Who Is Laycon has generated over a million stream on Boomplay, and believing winning the award will bring in his third car for the year, After winning his first as the Big Brother lockdown winner, and a second for his birthday by his fans.
On the other hand, Omay Lay fans belief their favourite is the best for the category. As he has more hit songs, more features in the year under review than Laycon. While the Elite keep arguing. this is not a reality show and comparing Laycon to Omay Lay is a disrespect to Omay Lay’s name.
Even though no nomination list has been published by the ward, it’s seems these two artist are the forerunners for now.

I’m an icon… Truth! But it’s really going to be an unjust decision if Omah Lay doesn’t win this… He deserves it big time..
He has more songs, not just songs but hit songs and also got more features than anyone who could come up on the list…
