Ugandan Parliamentarian Faults The Ugandan Police For Arresting Omah Lay and Tems
A Ugandan Parliamentarian, Bobi Wine has questioned Ugandan Police right to arrest Omah Lay and Tems jn in their country.
Bobi Wine via his Twitter handle argued that Omah Lay who was handed a work permit and performed under police protection should not be arrested by the same government who gave him the go ahead order to perform in Uganda.
He said,
“Truth is #OmahLay’s arrest isn’t about COVID. No! It’s an act of shame by a corrupt regime that operates on double standards. He obtained a work permit & performed under police protection! Why arrest him? This as pro-Museveni artists stage street concerts unmolested! #FreeOmahLay”
