As promised, Don Jazzy and the Mavin Records drops an official EP for Ayra Starr self titled project “Ayra Starr EP“. The news of her signing was announced today and few minutes later, news of her EP was made known to the public.
The EP is a 5 songs project with songs such as Away, Ija, Ditr, Sare, Memories. According to the editors note on her EP, Ayra Starr’s project is showcases her exceptional writing and vocal abilities.
“Ayra Starr’s self-titled EP showcases her effective writing skills and polished vocal abilities. The Benin-born, Lagos-based singer navigates love and relationships (“Away”, “Ija” and “Memories”) as well as teenage angst and vices (“Ditr”). It’s a joyful experience shaped by a sophisticated soundscape—electric guitar riffs and subtle percussion merge with her unflappable voice to produce a delicious cocktail of heartfelt and carefree anthems.”
