Reminisce and His Successful Albums From 2012 Till Date

Nigerian rapper Reminisce born Remilekun Abdulkalid Safari is one of the indigenous rappers in Nigeria that has mastered the art of making hits both in Yoruba and in English. Recently he announced the release of his fifth studio album after the release of four successful albums.

His debut album titled “Book of rap stories” was released in March 2012 after being on production stage for 2 years. The album was produced by legendary beatz, Sarz, Jospo, Pastor Child and Joshbeatz.

His second album “Alaga Ibile” was released in November 2013. It happened to be one of the rapper’s most popular and successful albums featuring artistes like Naeto C, Davido, Wizkid and Olamide. The album was produced by Sossick, Sarz, Jospo and Chop stix.

His Third Album “Baba Hafusa” was released in 2015. This album was another record breaker as it opened reminisce to a new level of popularity. It was number 12 on Billboard charts worldwide music category and stayed at number 1 on iTunes for over a week.

His Fourth, an EP titled “Vibes and Insha Alla” was released in 2020, 5 years after the previous. This EP has also been successful garnering over 5 million online streams. It features Fatimah Safari, Fireboy and No Safari. The songs have production credit to Sarz, Krizbeatz and others.

Reminisce hasn’t shared much details about the forthcoming album yet, however he announced the title would be “Alaye Toh Se Gogo”, translated “Oh my God, You are the only one”. The album also seems to be an extension of his 2013 hit song “Fantasia”.

I Have Parted Ways With Sony Music – Dice Ailes

One of Nigera’s sensation Dice Ailes, who has been under the radar for a while now took to his social media page to talk on his dissolved contract situation with multi international Music company Sony.

The singer disclosed how in recent weeks he had to cancel every contractual agreement with the company due to financial incentives and other side investments .

The singer last project was in 2022, which was a recorded EP titled “Ladies first”, in a post made by the singer , the Singer was quoted saying .

I have been in business with Sony Music for years and sometime last year, we mutually agreed to terminate the contract because progress was stagnated and also we didn’t get the kind of investments we were expecting.

I Was In every Artist DM’s , Begging Them To Sign Me – DMW New Signee Logos Olori

Logos Olori DMW latest signee, shared his experience of how he tried reaching out to many afro beats stars via Dm’s as he was in search of a major record label to sign him.

In his statement he mentioned that he tried contacting musicians like Don Jazzy and others through their inboxes, but unfortunately, he was overlooked.

During a recent interview with CoolFM, Logos Olori admitted that he never directly approached Davido for a record deal. Surprisingly, Davido was the only artist who recognized his talent and decided to offer him a contract.

In his words: “Olamide was the first artist that posted my song and co-signed me, I even met him in Dubai and I told him to give me one verse but I chased that verse and unfortunately I didn’t get it. “I was in Don Jazzy’s DM, and I was in everybody’s DM but a lot of them won’t reply to me, I was even in Burna Boy’s DM at some point but not for music-related issues that were just for like something he said and I replied and we argued”.
