There are reports that he was the one who connected Fireboy with Ed Sheeran in order to make the remix of the hit-song Peru. As reported, Jamal attended the Brit Awards earlier this month and also performed as a DJ at a gig in North London before his death.
Befor his death, Jamal Edwards was honoured with an MBE for the services he rendered in music in 2014. He was born in Luton and was one of the pioneer of the Rap and Grime in United Kingdom.
