The Grammys Designate Wizkid ‘Afrobeats Giant’ Ahead Of Burna Boy And Davido
The biggest music award in the world, The Grammys have named Nigerian Afrobeats singer Wizkid Afrobeats Giant.
Ahead of the 64th Grammy awards show which is scheduled to hold in Las Vegas on April 4th, The Grammys have released a video celebrating the accomplishments of Wizkid’s most recent album, Made In Lagos, on their YouTube channel.
In the video—titled “How Wizkid reshaped Afrobeats with Made In Lagos,” (his most successful album till date)—Grammy praised Wizkid, saying he reshaped Afrobeats and made it appealing to international audience.
Fans of the music star have been rejoicing over his new tittle–Afrobeats Giant.
Wizkid is also nominated in two categories at the 2022 Grammy Awards: Best Global Album (Made In Lagos) and Best Global Music Performance (Essence).
