“Nobody Can Write Songs Better Than Me” – Nigerians Drag Omah Lay For Allegedly Shading Rema With His Tweet
Nigerians have dragged Port Harcourt-born singer Omah Stanley Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, on Twitter for shading his colleague Rema with his Twitter post.
On 26th of March Omah Lay took to his Twitter handle to praise his prolific songwriting skill.
Doing that, he wrote that nobody does it (songwriting) better than him, thereby causing many Nigerians to retweet and react to his tweet.
Some Nigerians on Twitter say Omah Lay’s tweet is directed to Mavin Records’ poster boy, Rema.
Rema, who released his debut album Rave & Roses on 25th March, 2022, has been setting new records with his album. He broke a Spotify record for the highest streamed Nigerian album in 24 hours of release.

Omah Lay, praising his songwriting ability on his Twitter handle, wrote: “Hahaha! Nobody comes close to me with the pen.”
The tweet went viral instantly, and many a Nigerian on Twitter thinks the tweet is a shade to Rema.
One Twitter user writes, “I know say na Rema you dey shade but mi o ni sor anything sha.” Translated in English, the tweet says, “I know you are shading Rema but I won’t say anything.”

Meanwhile, controversial Twitter personality, Daniel Regha has also reacted to Omah Lay’s tweet. Daniel Regha applauded Omah’s confidence but advised him to take a reality check on himself while noting that Omah Lay is not even among the top 5 most gifted songwriters presently.
