“I’m Glad Nigeria Lost To Ghana Because It Would Have Been A Distraction” – Nigerian Actress Mary Njoku
Popular Nigerian actress Mary Remmy-Njoku, said she’s glad that Nigeria was disqualified from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Expressing herself via her Instastories, she said if Nigeria had qualified for the world cup, the tournament would have diverted Nigerians’ attention from the recent unfortunate events that happened in the country.
The actress said insecurity in Nigeria needs more attention than anything currently. She stressed that the recent bombing of a train and the attack on a airport all in Kaduna state needs more focus than a World Cup tournament right now.
Lastly, Mary urged Nigerians to not be distracted and to pressure the government to end insecurity in Nigeria.
