Grammys 2022: Wizkid Finally Puts Everything Behind Him, Sends Congratulatory Message To Angélique Kidjo

Nigerian singer Wizkid has finally reacted to his losing two awards at the 64th Grammys.

Wizkid, 31, on Sunday night, lost two Grammy awards to Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo and Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab.

The defeat was a shocker to fans of the singer, especially his home-based fans in Nigeria who were expecting him to bring home the awards.

Since the award ceremony, Wizkid didn’t make any public appearance or statement until yesterday, April 5.

On Tuesday, April 5, Wizkid finally broke his silence, put everything behind him, and congratulated Angélique Kidjo—and South African DJ Black Coffee, who also won an award on Sunday night—on his Instagram handle.

Below is what Wizkid wrote on his IG story:

Wizkid is in the process of making another ground-breaking album. He announced the title of the next album in December 2021. He called the album “More Love, Less Ego.”
