“Blaqbonez has recorded over 300 songs before I sign him” – MI Says
Nigerian rap legend MI Abaga reveals how he signed Blaqbonez to Chocolate City.
MI recently guests an interview with Nigerian rapper Ikechuwu. In the course of the interview, he narrates how he discovered and signed talented young rapper Blaqbonez.
In MI’s words, AQ was the one who first told him about Blaqbonez. He would later meet Blaqbonez at Vector’s concert, where he asked to see him backstage.
There, he asked Blaqbonez to play him one of his songs. He played a trap song he had recorded, but MI was doubtful of the song’s marketability in Nigeria.
However, when he learnt that Blaqbonez had other songs, which are over 300 in number, he was convinced to sign him to Chocolate City.
