Grammy-award winning Nigerian singer Burna joins list of world’s famous artists who have sold out a show at the Madison Square Garden in New York.
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, on Thursday, April 28 made history as he became the first Nigerian artist to perform at the Madison Square Garden in New York, America.
The concert themed ‘One Night In Space’ had the singer, who’s known for being energetic on stage, prove himself worthy of his self-given monicker: ‘The African Giant’.
Before Burna Boy, no other Nigerian artist had performed at the arena, neither as a headliner nor as a guest performer.
Joining the list of top music acts that have played the Madison Square Garden, Burna Boy is now counted among world’s legendary singers including Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Beatles Madonna, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, The Who, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Luke Bryan.
His fans have been so excited about the concert that the hashtag #BurnaLiveAtMSG has continued to trend on Twitter.
With over 20k capacity, the Madison Square Graden is one of the biggest, and the most famous, music arenas in the world.
