Vanilla Bottega song review

The name Lil Kesh would have been a more resounding name on the lips of music fans but this isn’t 2015/2016! However, we have seen a more refined musical artiste than just a mere description of Olamide‘s protege.

The song Vanilla Bottega shows how much he has grown independently but always depends on features for hits.

The song “Vanilla Bottega” is one of those smooth duets he has been crooning lately and this doesn’t fall short of that consistency with good melodies.

He has been very careful with his features lately with very pleasurable melodies such as Don’t call me (ft. Zinolessky), Love like this (ft. Fireboy), and then Vanilla Bottega alongside Joeboy. These are impressive tunes and he makes efforts to bring in really talented youngsters to help him just in case it flops. Really Strategic!

Vanilla Bottega is one of those averagely good tunes that people might ignore but later appreciate when they hear it on a mix or it is played randomly in a club or on any media channel. The song is mid-tempo feel-good music about the normal extravagant life of an average Artiste in Nigeria who likes to party and have fun.

However, we hope Lil Kesh doesn’t keep being over-dependent on features as a way of making hit or chart-topping songs.

He has lost that Street-based acceptance and I think it’s good for his development as a serious-minded artiste as he was over pampered during his sojourn with YBNL.

The rating is 3/5.
