21-Year-Old Progress Crowned Winner Of Nigerian Idol Season 7, Rewarded 100 Million Naira
Nigerian Idol crowns 21-year-old Progress Chukwuyem winner of its 7th season.
Progress first emerged as one of two finalists among 12 contestants, the second being Zodak.
He was crowned winner of the 7th season on Sunday (May 22), announced by show’s host IK Osakioduwa.
Zodak, on the other hand, finished as the first runner-up.
As the winner of this season show, Promise is rewarded a grand prize worth 100 million naira, including the recording of a full-length EP that’s produced by one of Nigerian top dogs, a music video, a weekend getaway from TravelBeta, and a DStv Explora fully installed with a 12 months premium subscription.
He also goes home with a cash prize of 30 million naira, a brand new SUV, a Bigi refrigerator, as well as one year’s supply of Bigi drinks.
At the finale aired on African Magic on DStv, two of the judges Dbanj and Simi, who are also Nigerian music stars, performed on stage.
Singer and producer Pheelz was a guest performer, and performed his hit song Finesse.
