Banky W Wins PDP Re-run Primary Election For Eti-Osa
Nigerian singer, actor, and politician Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, wins PDP re-run primary election for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency.
On Monday (June 6) Banky W wins PDP re-run primary election and grabs under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party the ticket to contest in the forthcoming general elections in 2023 to represent the people of Eti-Osa Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the Nigeria’s House of Representatives.
Two weeks back he had been declared winner in the party’s first primary election that took place in Lagos before his victory was denied and a re-run was announced.
At the re-run today, June 6, he reportedly scored 24 votes out of 29 to defeat his competitor, Mr Sam Aiboni, who scored only 5 votes.
Following the election his campaign team announced his victory, it said:
‘While we are grateful for our success at the primaries, we are completely heartbroken at the state of our nation. We must play our part in fixing the Nation, and we must get into the system to help fix it. Our work begins now. Please join us’.
