Davido Gets Audience Going At His Sold Out Show In Toronto [Video]

Fans couldn’t get enough of Nigerian music megastar Davido in his Toronto tour.

David Adeleke, better known as Davido, gave a great performance in Toronto on Friday as his world tour which kicked off in New York continued.

The tour is named “We rise by lifting others”, a phrase he coined himself, and he would be performing at a couple of places, including America and Canada. He had said in an interview with American TV personality Trevor Noah a few days before the tour kicked off that one of the tour’s mains was showcasing Africa’s beautiful culture to the world.

On Friday, June 17 he performed in Toronto, Canada. The venue had been sold out.

He shared on Saturday, June 18 a video clip of his trip to Canada and his performance on his verified Twitter account.

In the short video clip he got the audiences excited as he took them through the energetic performing of his many hit songs. The audiences were singing along, screaming, and having great fun.

After Toronto, Boston was the next stop he performed at on Saturday, June 18. Other places he will also be performing at soon include Chicago and Los Angeles.

Davido coined the phrase “We rise by lifting others” some years back to encourage the good act of helping others and giving out to the poor in the society. His generosity, which oftens attracts the attention of the media, has earned him respect of Nigerians, the old and the young.

On his birthday in 2021, he donated to orphanage homes across Nigeria $600,000 (250 million naira) that had been given to him as birthday present by his friends and family.

Speaking with Trevor Noah recently he said his father, Dr Deji Adeleke, told him to donate the money.
