On Sunday, July 17, Osun Sate gubernatorial election result was officially by INEC. Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, contesting under the PDP, emerged as the winner, beating the incumbent Governor Isiaka Oyetola.
During Adeleke’s campaign, Davido played an important role, joining the campaign and urging the people to vote his uncle. Even on the election day, he was everywhere, both online and offline, ensuring that the electoral process is free and fair.
His energy in supporting his uncle was highly praised by fans on social media, with some of them saying he is a supportive man who doesn’t joke with his family.
Sunday evening, Mavin Records CEO, Don Jazzy, took to his Twitter handle, joining other well wishers, to praise Davido and congratulate him for his uncle’s victory.
