Singer Kizz Daniel has been arrested in Tanzania for alleged breach of contract.

1. Why Was Kizz Daniel Arrested?

Kizz Daniel was scheduled to perform at a show in Tanzania on Sunday, 7th August. However, after arriving Tanzania, the ‘Buga’ crooner failed to keep his end of the bargain, as he refused to mount the stage in the last minutes before the show.

2. When Was Kizz Daniel Arrested?

He was arrested Monday afternoon, August 8, at the hotel he was lodged in, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

3. Who Arrested Him?

Kizz Daniel, alongside his bouncer, was whisked away by Tanzanian policemen in a pickup after the show promoter reported the matter to the police.

4. Where Was Kizz Daniel Detained At?

He was detained at Oyster Bay Police Station Civil Police in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

5. Why Did Kizz Daniel Refuse To Perform?

According to the show promoter, Stephen, who spoke with Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze in a live video, Kizz Daniel said he would not perform because he didn’t have one of his gold chains!

Speaking further, Stephen revealed that Kizz Daniel had another gold chain on his neck that night, but yet insisted on using that particular chain, which the singer forgetfully left behind, including some of his clothes, during a flight change in Nairobi, Kenya, on his way to Tanzania.

He continued that even though efforts were made to improvise clothes for him, he still refused to perform without the gold chain.

Despite calling Paulo, Head of Kizz Daniel’s management to persuade him to perform, he still insisted about not performing without his chain.

Stephen noted that he spent thousands of dollars in organizing the show. And Kizz Daniel was paid in full!

6. Has Kizz Daniel Been Released?

Yes, Kizz Daniel was granted bail Monday evening, a few hours after his arrest. However, his legal team is expected to report to the police station Tuesday, August 9.

Kizz Daniel is currently in Tanzania. He is not in police custody, but he hasn’t returned to Nigeria yet because his legal team has to take care of the matter with the police.
