Rema hits 2 billion streams

Afro-rave hitmaker, Rema hits 2 billion career streams.

Nigerian artist Rema, signed to Mavin Records/Jonzing World, has hit another milestone in his 3-year-plus career – he hits 2 billion streams across all platforms.

This was announced in a post by Rema Stats on Twitter, and was retweeted by the singer.

According to the post, Rema hit two billion total career streams across all music streaming platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, Boomplay, and Apple Music.

He has now joined his colleague Fireboy DML, who hit 2 billion streams last month, as one of the first two new generation Nigerian artists to hit 2 billion streams across all platforms.

Rema defines his music style as ‘Afrorave’, a sub-genre of Afrobeats with influences from Arabian and Indian music.

Congratulations to Rema!
