Nigerian artist Teni has announced that she's independent and no longer under a record label.

Nigerian artist Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has parted ways with her record label.

She made the announcement of her parting ways and becoming independent via her official Twitter handle on Saturday (November 26).

‘Independent now’, Teni wrote on Twitter. However, she only announced her independent status in the tweet and didn’t give any further information except that she is working on a new album, which she called ‘the best album of my life’.

Teni was signed to Nigerian ace music producer Shizzi’s Magic Fingers before she left the label and signed with Dr. Dolor Entertainment in 2017.

Under Dr. Dolor Entertainment, she released hit songs such as ‘Case’, ‘Uyo Meyo’, and ‘Fargin’.
