Tems Becomes The First Nigerian To Bag An Oscar Nomination
Tems has become the first Nigerian to be nominated for an Oscar award.
Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems has made history by becoming the first Nigerian to bag an Oscar nomination after the song ‘Lift Me Up’ was nominated in the Best Original Song Category.
‘Lift Me Up’ which was written by Tems was performed by Rihanna for the movie Wakanda Forever. And according to reports, if the song ends up winning the category which it has been nominated for, the credit will go to the composer/writer and not the performer.
