Banky W Reacts Following Election Loss, Says He Will Continue To Praise God
Bankole Wellington, better known Banky W, a Nigerian singer turned politician has broken his silence on his recent defeat in the general elections that took place on February 25.
It is important to keep in mind that Thaddeus Attah, a candidate for the Labour Party, became victorious in the election for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives by defeating Banky W, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Attah defeated his rivals Mr. Olubankole Wellington (Banky W) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 18,666 votes, and Mr. Babjide Obanikoro of the APC, who received 16,901 votes, by receiving 24,075 votes.
Banky W posted his first Instagram update following the defeat on March 6, 2023, encouraging followers to keep their trust in God no matter how devastating their setback may seem.

A Sunday thanksgiving celebration and the hunt for an apartment and office space in Abuja were among the many things he had planned in anticipation of his election, but he admitted that neither of these things had worked out.
Banky W said that despite losing the election, he would continue to praise God. He hoped this would be an inspiration to others who had also faced disappointment.
