Monalisa Stephen, a plus-size model and actress, claimed she felt insulted when Teniola “Teni” Apata, a popular musician, posted about her weight loss journey on social media.

Recall that Teni recently surprised Nigerians by losing 75 pounds “naturally without surgery” and sharing photos of her toned body. She claimed at the time that her former size was harming her health and that she made the decision to drop weight in order to preserve her life.

Body positive model Monalisa responded to this on a recent episode of the Honest Bunch podcast by claiming that Teni unintentionally set her up for ridicule with her statement since people began tagging her to the post and giving her advice to likewise lose weight.
