Dancehall veteran Bounty Killer takes a swipe at Afrobeats for its lyricism, using Burna Boy’s ‘Ye’ as an example.

Rodney Basil Price, better known as Bounty Killer, has claimed that Afrobeats songs lack in-depth lyrics. He said this in an interview.

A video going round on Twitter shows Bounty Killer, a legendary Jamaican singer, explaining how Afrobeats artists, like Burna Boy, rely heavily on melody and pay little attention to their lyrics.

He uses Burna Boy’s Platinum-certified song ‘Ye’ as an example, concluding that all Afrobeats songs lack lyricism.

    Its not easy to be a Grammy award winner . It comes with haters from everwhere. He’s just bitter because his career is over and he never even came close to wherever burna boy and other afrobeat musician are now. Burna is even performing at champions league final 😂😂😂😂😂😂This guy is bitter. He wished its him. He’s very bitter
